The Art of the Deal by Donald Trump: Chapter 11- How to move from dialogue to terrorism.

Quote:
On October 3, 2017, Trump's then-Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee that Iran was adhering to the nuclear agreement. When Sen. Angus King, an independent, asked Mattis whether he believed the deal was in US national security interests, Mattis replied, "Yes, Senator, I do."

But Trump had asserted for the past two years that the Iran agreement was the "worst deal ever," and so in 2018 he pulled out of the deal. He also added new sanctions that have devastated the Iranian economy and contributed to widespread street protests against the regime.

Then came Thursday's air strike, ordered by Trump, that killed arguably the most important commander in the Middle East, the Iranian general, Qasem Soleimani.

As global affairs analyst Max Boot pointed out Friday on CNN, the US has not killed a senior military leader of another country since 1943, when it shot down the plane carrying Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, the mastermind of Pearl Harbor.

And Trump now faces what is likely the most significant foreign policy crisis of his presidency -- part of which he has created for himself. Indeed, on Friday, the United States urged the evacuation of all US citizens from Iraq immediately.
AFAIK, Trump has made these moves without proper consultation with Congress or international allies. If he now hopes that people like Boris Johnson will get in line to support him, tbh, I hope he will be disappointed.

When I was travelling in Portugal, I got sh*thoused drunk in Lisbon and responded with curiosity to the drug dealer asking me if I wanted some hash. I was given the equivalent of mummified oregano dust in a hard packed "big league chew" style stick and they told me it was 60 euro. When I tried to back out they told me that we already had agreed to the price so I had to take it. There were four of them and one of me in a dark alley. I threw 60 euro at them, stuffed the "hash" in my pocket and ran away. I'm surprised I'm alive. Kicker is a week later I flushed it because the train I was on transferred and there were drug dogs.

I used to buy killer hash from an African gentleman while I was in Germany. He was from Chad. There were Turkish dudes at the Bonhoff that were sketchy, so it was nice to have someone I could trust. We had to go to Amsterdam to get greens though.
