"If you loot, we shoot" is the mantra I've heard from business owners. Everyone has the right to protect his property. Yes, shoot to kill. There's plenty of precedence for such action. Any home invader who is shot and killed while inside someone's home, for example, is justifiably slain.

Regarding racism etc, this idea of shooting people who are destroying or invading your personal property has nothing to do with race. White and black and all colors in between should be put down if they loot.

You really feel that theft should be a capital offense? That seems a bit medieval.

It's not a simple question. Shoplifting? No. Theft + vandalism + potential violence? Maybe. If I own a small family run convenience store, and a bunch of rabid thugs start busting the place up and I feel threatened for me and my family? Much different story.

Of course not. But just like with home invasions, property owners should shoot those who break in.

Theft shouldn't be a capital offense after the fact but a person should be able to use deadly force to protect one's property.

It's the middle of the night and you are sleeping. You are awoken by the sound of broken glass and low voices downstairs. Do you assume they are only their to take your TV? Do you hide in your closet hoping for the best? If you are married what about your wife? Do you worry about her being victimized?

I'll grab my pistol and loudly chamber a round and then yell out that I'm armed and unless they split now I'm going to shoot on sight.

Idk, I've never been in that situation, and I don't own a gun. I'd like to think I would be ready to protect the lives of my family but I'd rather get robbed and call the cops than take the life of another person.
