CNN is reporting 50 dead and over 200 injured (though oddly my email only mentioned two dead in the link that led to the article that then upped that total seriously), and no motive ascribed yet. ****ing insane. This will really hurt the Las Vegas tourist industry, which must rely on that really heavily. Thoughts and prayers to the families of those dead or injured. Madness.
Suspect dead, companion (woman) being sought.

so far the news coverage sucks
they're taking more time to edit the video footage than figuring out the what when where and especially who and why obvious questions: the guy's politics and religion? was he ever in the military? his financial situation?

I think it might be wise to define these types of situations as such. We don't even know his motive yet, and "violent incident in Las Vegas" doesn't work as well.
