He reminds me of when I was a libertarian who thought Rush Limbaugh was ridiculous but still bought into Neal Boortz.

I mean I imagine he can see how ridiculous a cartoon character trying to bang a drum that Alex Jones is but still buys into the basic concept when it's put in a way that seems more palatable.
