Until this evening I'd not taken Trump seriously as having any substantive impact on the nation. The parallels to Hitler so many had drawn seemed fitting but not tangibly real.

Then I saw this report from Saturday. Maddow presents a series of chronologically-excerpt footage of Trump's rally speeches where he directly incites violence and hatred against protesters, condoning violent acts taken on his behalf and even offering legal counsel to anyone who faces consequences for putting protesters in their place.

And the violence continues to escalate. This is the front-runner for the Republican party, and this is real.

Whether or not you can compare Trump to Hitler, I definitely think you can compare his supporters to Brownshirts.

True say. I've kind of defended Trump for a few weeks, but that goes past the line of being "anti-political correctness" to intentionally race baiting. It's as bad as what we see from Bernie/Hillary and their supporters at this point.

Well, for a start they were there protesting, causing the initial issue - which obviously escalates and doesn't help anyone.

Sanders often incites tensions between black and whites, with recent comments such as "White people don't know what it's like to be poor". He even associates with Black Lives Matter, which is essentially a racist organization, with members who are pro-segregation and serial victims.

But it doesn't seem to be working for him based on the posts I have seen on here. Hillary generally receiving the black vote.
