Hmm, i'll say it again. I really don't think knowing the whent the world is going to end (would) bother(s) me at all. Well, id be scared if i actually believed it, but fear and I have a very hit and run relationship. Maybe thats just me being conceited, but i dont think i would try and stop it even if i could.

Could NASA or whoever really keep a huge asteroid/comet whatever from hitting earth? Cause I was talking about this end of the world stuff with a friend of mine and that was the most emminent form of total destruction we could come up with.

That's hard to say, there's not one that's absolutely sure to hit us anytime soon (the earliest date of a possible impact I can think of is 206something) and who's to say how advanced techology will be in another decade or two? Considering scientists are already working on such a technology, if in 50 years we still have nothing, that would surely suck ass.

Unfortunately Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck won't be around by that point.

I don't think anything will happen in 2012, but aliens are real. Go look up the Bentwaters UFO case. It will make you a believer. They actually detected alien aircraft on radar, from base and jet, and at the same time there were many calls from people saying they saw UFO's.
