Solipsism is so goddamn retarded. Since when did the stuff that stoners rant about get taken seriously as a philosophical idea?

I already brought that up.

In other words we're only allowed into heaven if god completely remakes us and gets rid of everything that makes us who we are.

Very comforting thought, right?

I find that more terrifying then not existing, if god truly loved us he would except our flaws even in the afterlife. Again, this is as much as I can comprehend as I am an idiot.

Why do you think God gets rid of everything that makes you who you are?
What are the things you think God gets rid of?

the very concept of heaven or even god for that matter is as fictitious as the ancient greek or roman gods...or the work of James Frey.

I'm not a religious person, so I don't actually believe in any of it, obviously, I'm just saying the concept is horrifying.

With bodily death comes death of the ego, being that which constitutes your identity on the superficial level. This is what is meant by God getting rid of everything that makes you what you are.

Yeah that makes it sound a lot better.

By the way, that was sarcasm.

I guess Christians don't believe in mental and physical identity, all that matters is "spiritual". I already realise this and that is just as frightening as anything else I've described.

I used to be a regular Baptist churchgoer and it was so unpleasant, I felt like an outcast from day one. Everyone seemed to be the exact same person and they all excelled at the same thing, making me feel as useless and uncomfortable as possible. If that's their idea of heaven, complete conformity and sharing the same "spiritual" identity, then I have to wonder. Is hell really that much worse?

There's some people who believe that heaven and hell is on earth and it's what you make it, as ridiculously cliche as that sounds, that's kinda what I believe in.

I was just curious what you thought, actually those question where from things you said, and I just want to know what was the thought behind what you said. I read some of the things you wrote and none of it made sense, if you were sincere and had some questions I thought I could help you out, I wanted to see where you were coming from before I said anything.

On a side note here, theoretically there is free will in heaven. How else could Lucifer have rebelled and supposedly caused a war up there otherwise before he got kicked out?
