I found this really good article about 5 different ways that white feminists can address their own racism.



1. Recognize that even when your good intentions are truly good, that's totally meaningless.

2. If you feel defensive when talking about race with a woman of color or reading about race in a piece written by a woman of color, assume the other person is saying something especially true.

3. Look for ways that you are racist, rather than ways to prove you're not.

4. Listen to people of color, even if you don't know many.

5. Use your feminist powers to identify instances when people of color are under-represented or misrepresented, and speak out about it.

but those ppl are just yearnin for a group to identify with, somethin they can get behind and probably blab about to their friends so they seem cool or whatever. feminists really just want a label and someone to identify with. its much like kids in highschool who gravitate towards certain cliques.

they want you to feel guilt whether its bein straight or white or male or whatever. those who succumb to the pressure to feel ashamed or guilty are pathetic. please wipe the earth of all of them and i will promise not to shed tears

I find the privilege stuff a little blah. Why not instead of being guilty for what colour vagina you came out of, you treat people equally and not acknowledge that someone is better or worse for their assigned race?
