I think the only way I'd chase the dragon would be if I was indefinitely going to die in a few days.

Of course, but only Mary Jane, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, if you disagree then you need to stop listening to your parents or the damn government.

I've already tried weed. Twice in my lifetime and I don't see the appeal. If its there, I'll puff, but I have no interest in buying it.

Anything above that is not my speed. Not a fan of anything in needles or that needs to go in my nose.

Physically it's not too addictive, but mentally the chance of getting addicted is pretty high. I'd be pretty wary, I mean, I wouldn't do coke or crack myself, but that shouldn't stop you from trying a line.

Oh, and why is crack so addictive if it's just coke mixed with baking soda? I've never gotten that.

Probably best not to try something if you're freaked out by it, to be quite honest. Particularly cocaine or any sort of speed. That sounds to me like an anxiety attack waiting to happen, particularly as I've seen it happen before.

If you were around other people who were doing it who were familiar with it and able to see that, "Oh, they're fine, and they're telling me that what I'm feeling is normal," that would assuage the fears somewhat. But if you're "too scared" as you put it, still probably not the best idea.

In answer to the OP's question: No. I wouldn't want to hurt myself by using any drugs and I value how my brain normally functions too much to want to alter it.

I am curious, though, whether drugs actually create a mental state that is different from what a person normally experiences. For example, would drugs just extend a feeling (such as pleasure) that I already have, causing the feeling to last longer, or would drugs increase the intensity of that feeling (creating an experience of SUPER-pleasure)?

I will live and die without knowing the answer to that question firsthand. But what *is* the answer?
