The professional massage I had turned out to be an amateur one but I did enjoy it. It was completed with a happy ending so what was there not to like about that.

That's because a lot of massues use a lot of force with the massage as it is the ultimate way to loosen muscles and adjust the position that your body takes naturally. No pain no gain. If you want an airy fairy massage get your girlfriend/boyfriend to do it.

Lol..you sick sick man...Mine was a couples massage with my infamous x I mention time to time. No happy ending and very proffesional and very much a waste of money. Really all it did was make me really drousy a few hours later and denied me the ability to reach the pinnacle of my inebriation that evening.

Haha, yes. My friend and I use to walk on each others backs to crack out the knots, probably not the safest thing in the world if you don't know what you're doing, but my back always felt looser afterwards. My boyfriend is only good for back scratching.

I love massages but my last one was just ridiculous. I was at the mall and had a stiff neck so I stopped into a massage place to just get a 15 minute neck and shoulder one. I started talking to the guy behind the counter then this little tiny woman with bad teeth who had been sleeping on a chair up against the wall hopped up, walked over over to me and said in a commanding tone, "you take off shirt and shoes." This massage place was open to the mall and had only those trifold Asian screens for privacy so I felt a bit awkward. I told her I just wanted a short neck and should thing and she replied, "yeah, take off shirt and shoes." So complied, awkwardly, and this little tiny woman who was probably less than half size proceeded to climb all over me and give me the most brutal massage of my life. I like a good firm massage but this was pretty over the top. She was grinding her knee into my back, punching me, pulling at my muscles like she was trying to debone a chicken. Like I said, it was ridiculous, and the whole time all I could hear was mall muzak and families talking as they walked by.

That's not a massage, that's just groping. Nothing wrong with groping though.

Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.

They so are eh, boyfriends couldn't give a massage if their boner depended on it.

I love hugs! I'll hug anybody. I'd hug Hitler. Or Gaddafi, if we wanted to be here now.

When I first read the title I saw "Man, are you more Hungry these days?" and I thought HELL YES I NEED FOOD DAMNIT. Upon actually reading the thread, i was monemtarily confused as to why the OP changed from "my mum and I were out to breakfast..." to "and then they all hugged" At which point I re-read the title and was mildly disappointed.

As for hugs, I'll happily hug anyone if they want a hug. I don't tend to instigate them that often, but I won't awkwardly turn one down. :P Interestingly enough, I never hug my sister. We just never really have. Guys: certainly a lot of my (guy) friends I wouldn't hug, particularly, against interestingly enough, my best friends, though when I was a member of the local gig scene a few years back, EVERYONE, guys and girls, hugged each other, and you were weird if you didn't.

As for whether we're getting huggier, I think it does depend on culture. There are huggy cultures in the world, and... not huggy ones. I think especially in the UK, guys have up until quite recently been expected to be stalwart, unemotional and certainly not huggy. To show emotion was a definite no-no. With Continental influence, that's changing slowly, but most guys there I think would still not be the huggiest people. Certainly not the 70 kisses on each cheek that some of the eastern European countries have!
