Whether the offended person feels there is some truth in it or not isn't the gauge of offensiveness. It's not the veracity of the statement, but it's the perceived mean spiritedness behind it. In theory the truth should not offend. Something that is ironic or funny is when it's a gross misrepresentation of something, but then again something offensive when it's a derisive gross misrepresentation of something too. There is such a fine line between being jokey and being jerky. Il Duce confessed it was his ill attempt at a lulz, he wasn't trying to be mean - so he says.

Back on topic, yes, equal pay for equal work.

I'm a single dad and have 2 teenage daughters. I've tried my best to instill in them, since they were todlers, that they can do ANYTHING in this life and there is NO limit to their potential. They are awesome kids. Very bright and artistic, sef-confident, etc...

Sadly, the reality is that, unfortunately, they will have to deal with the fact that women don't get equal pay for the same work. This is not fair and it sucks.

I've been trying to plant the seed of self-employment as I feel this gives them the best chance to overcome this inequality. My youngest daughter, who just turned 15, actually makes jewelry and such that she sells. Several friends have requested items from her and she sells some online. My older daughter, 17, has sold some paintings that she has done. I hope they continue this through HS and college as it should give them them the confidence to not feel the need to go the corporate route. Anyway, time will tell. I would just love to see them avoid the whole corporate treadmill mentality in general.

I could understand if it was a .gov or something along those lines but that's still a bit iffy.
