I think the whole world should have a vote because we get impacted by your governments decisions.

Gary - 79%
Barack - 76%
Mitt - 65%
Jill - 64%
Rocky - 54%
Virgil - 9%
Louisiana - 58%
America - 60%

Libertarian - 74%
Democrat - 68%
Republican - 52%
Green - 34%

I guess that seems about right, with a margin of error.
My political views tend to be mostly balanced when considering most important issues. I've never strictly leaned hard to one side or the other when taking into account the totality of it all. That's probably why I'm usually always in the "undecided" category come election time. Personally, I think that's a good place to be, as it usually means I'm actively weighing options rather than defending a default stance that may not remain very applicable in a changing world.

both just empty suit figureheads who've mastered double talk. I don't know who's lies i like more right now. The only way to tell if they're doing some good is if their shot, and unfortunately you usually can't vote for them again after that happens

Why doesn't obama have a more attractive wife? I want a better leader

Now there's an original thought.

I often forget this is the case, but I'm curious as to what extent it's really true. Short of invading your country like we did to Iraq, are U.S. decisions really that influential? Urban's post about Mediafire is true, but isn't that more reflective of ridiculous copyright laws from media conglomerates on an international level? It strikes me as something common people are fighting worldwide rather than just stateside. These copyright lawyers are the same in most western countries.

I'm still voting for Freebases cat. The debate confirmed it. His cat does not have the ability to lie and he wouldn't date Michelle Obama or Mitt's wife.

What I mean is that a lot of people feel that way. They don't like either candidate, they dislike the two party system, etc. What perturbs me is that this sometimes just turns into apathy instead of actively trying to change the party system for the better or, more realistically, working within an existing party to make things better. It allows the rhetorical, dogmatic empty suits to dominate politics and create minions of unreasoning proto-people who vote red or blue because they're told to.

The parties need reasonable people to change them. I just think if people are fed up with the way it works, they should get involved – not protest in political silence.

This isn't directed at you, just the sentiment that's fairly common.

I voted for Ralph Nader years ago and thought at least i'm voting for who I interpreted at the time had a firm grasp on my belief in where Washington should head. I've been voting since 1988 and the third party will always be just that, its sad but true. I have to make my vote count so Freebase i'll be printing up some shirts and stickers to get the word out.
