I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it.
I actually remember a great deal about the troubles from the late 70's. Thought it was disbanded in the late 90's however. Dates back to 1600's from what I recollect. Did a report on it in 7th grade.

i would just like to say that my comment was actually at the Yankees/Red Sox picture....but that i also agree with Fred's other statement....and personally i feel opinions do not need qualification

i have to say....having literally found out about this this morning when i stopped to get some coffee.....i just don't see a reason for this....it just seems so pointless....

If anybody can sympathize with Boston it would be New York.

Just found out about this right now. WTF is wrong with this world, when you can't even go for a fun run without the risk of being blown up? I haven't read the full thread yet, but does this have the smell of homegrown terrorism, do you think? Either way it's a despicable and cowardly act, and my thoughts, as I'm sure all of yours, are with those who were injured and their families, and of course the families of those who lost their lives. A black day.

The bombs were fashioned from pressure cookers and loaded with shrapnel, crude but effective. It has the appearance of a homegrown attack. As for motive, the marathon attracts athletes from all over the world, it could be anything.

Since nobody has claimed responsibility for the atrocity (as terrorist groups usually do), I tend to think it's a local nutcase behind the bombings.
I also think that bb's were used in place of ball bearings since they are cheap and easily obtainable.
3 dead, 17 critical, and 176 injured total. I hope they solve this horrendous atrocity soon.

Officials: No unexploded devices found | Boston Herald

And RT continued making snide comments, hence my remark.
