fluffy, i agree its all very cringy. i cant pinpoint the reasoning to be honest but i think maybe its a desire to feel superior somehow or put others down to make yourself feel good?? im talkin about the fake outrage thing. it just seems so common now and it makes me face palm cause i think its ridiculous. everyone should lighten up in my opinion and just take jokes for what they are and thats jokes
Hahaha

Someone's a cute little misogynist

People didn't react to it like that though, which is my point. Twitter anger as Manchester United fanzine Red Issue takes aim at Fabrice Muamba 'grief junkies' - Manchester Evening News

It's not saying "We hope the player is dead." It would be different if it did.

The same way there's a difference between a joke about raping someone and a joke about the rape culture.
Is saying this even a joke though? & as for the 2nd sentence, both of those are jokes, as long as it's a joke, no problem.

Not trying to be a twat or anything, I hear what you're saying. Just posting my opinion.

People are going to over react, react, and under react, but I think morality is the issue here. if something ACTUALLY is ****ed up, why is someone saying it?

if that cover offended the player or the family or close friends, maybe it shouldn't have been said. Why is it okay to say something about someone and get all butthurt when they're offended?

I'm not talking about you, now, I'm talking in general.

It really pisses me off that people will blame ME for being offended by something even though they're the one who said the offensive thing. If it's like about McDonald's and I get offended, that's one thing. but if it's about something that happened to ME or someone I love, why do you get to go around making jokes?

+1 For giving me a new reason to hate Tina Fey. How is she a "slut shaming, racist bitch"? I only knew she was painfully unfunny and that I wish I could go back in time and uncreate 30 Rock.

I know you're not talking about me it's cool.

Offence is subjective, people are offended by different things. As I said, every joke is at the expense of someone somewhere. People can make jokes, they can't be expected to know what will offend every person they're telling the joke to, it's not the joke teller's fault if someone gets offended because that particular joke is close to home. If they did it to offend, fine, if not, no biggie.
