how are you going to ensure that nobody has guns in this late stage of the game? It is way to hard to get rid of all guns and because we have Mexico to the south smuggling guns in that perfect scenario won't ever likely happen.

You can be a victim of violence in any country. A crazy person can sneak up behind you and slit your throat. He's making it out to be a bigger deal than it is because he's afraid to live his life. The US isn't anymore dangerous than any other country.

What possible legitimate justification is there for anyone to own a semi automatic weapon? I read that sales of the type used in Orlando had jumped from 2 a day to 10 a day. Even at 2 a day that's 520 people a year armed with semi automatic rifles. To that I say WTF America? How is that desirable or even acceptable to you?

There are conspiracy nuts that want to arm themselves so that they can "fight" against the government when things go wrong.

They feel like they will be able to form a militia and stand up against the government if it ever came down to it. Which would be so hilarious. The army would **** up every single militia with ease in a few tanks and not even. Just send some drones and destroy their weapon supply and get rid of any resistance with ease.

if someone comes up from behind you and slits your throat... a gun won't really help you.

My point is that you aren't safe anywhere.

The point was that there are crazy people everywhere. It has nothing to do with guns and protecting yourself.

Just means the throat slitter is now armed with your weapon to finish off your family.

I should point out that 10 a day sales figure was from a single store so multiply that by however many stores there are.

it has EVERYTHING to do with guns. less guns = less death. simple as that. its ridiculous when people claim it has nothing to do with guns.

i'm not saying everybody would be perfectly safe and there would be 0 violence and crime without guns. but people would just be much safer without guns and that is a fact.

guns are DESIGNED to KILL. its simple.

Good guys need guns to protect themselves and others from the bad guys. Bad guys don't just go to stores and pick up their weapons. Well some do but they usually don't.

You still ignored my question. How will you go about getting rid of these guns to create an environment where , there are less guns? Nobody seems to have an answer for that.

They are just always, less guns = less death. Yeah in an ideal scenario but how are you realistically going to reduce the amount of guns that are currently out there, especially at the rate that Stephen said people are buying guns?

so the right thing to do is to just let people keep buying guns and shooting up innocent people?

i understand your point about people possessing guns illegally and it happens A LOT where i'm from. especially since the syrian civil war started, theres been spillover in lebanon especially in tripoli and theres a LOT of illegal arms dealers there. you see little kids walking around with guns its ****ing ridiculous.

I certainly don't have the answers. Sure I want stricter gun laws but I just don't know how they will accomplish it. The stand up citizens that are acquiring guns will have a harder time getting them while criminals and people that want to do illegal stuff will still keep getting them the same way as before.
