Lack of crossover appeal is the main thing. A self proclaimed socialist anything will never get a vote from the majority of republicans thanks to McCarthyism.

Man Joe McCarthy. One of the greatest curses to our great America. Unfortunately it is losers like him that represent every wrong of America. A lot of people used McCarthyism for the war in Iraq. That was terrible.

Wow! Donald Trump said it so I gotta believe him. Did you learn nothing from his previous statements? We'll see what his net worth is at after the election and then we'll talk. Remember, people paying to see him and buying his metchandise are also forms of campaign funding. Can't forget about how this is helping his brand image too, although the that's just him making money through means outside of campaign funding.

no my 'alternate reality' is one where trump has released his financials already, and is funding his own campaign and is genuinely running for president

also happens to be the version of reality on you will find in the mainstream media
