He's the president, not a whiny teenager. If congress is being a dick then he should have at the very least not gone out of his way to alienate them further by making tit-for-tat pot shots on tv. No matter how bad one side is the system still needs to function, and you don't just get to throw your hands up within five minutes and go, "Oh well, I tried."

You're going to have to fill me in on both that and whatever your point is here.

I don't remember that happening with him at all. What I remember is republicans promising to block anything he tried to do before he had even served a single day in office.

Lol I see you've missed my point. Trump blabs on at end about political correctness gone mad blah blah blah they're thought policing and you can't say anything that you want for fear of being lambasted and all that. When he goes on to insinuate that not using a certain phrase is worth losing a presidency over, I can't help but smell irony. It's anti-political correctness gone mad.

I agree. To say a man should step down for sticking to his political beliefs is overkill. Every man is entitled to there opinions. So unless Obama is secretly a taco disguised as a human, he's got rights too.

Maybe it's a matter of threat assessment. Trump thinks the threat is from Muslims. Obama won't say "Islamic terrorism", so Trump thinks he has poor threat assessment. Obama is putting more lives in danger by not breaking from the narrative.*

*I'm not a Trump supporter. I think he's vile. But I'm just trying to give a possible explanation.

What harm comes from not saying Islamic terrorism I wonder?

Well, I don't think it has anything to do with causing harm. Trump thinks the president is in denial about the attacks. By not saying they are Islamic terrorism, he denies the reality to this. Making him an unfit leader in a war on Islamic terror.
