I think that goes both ways.

But a lot of that comes from the fact that Hitler was a socialist.

What's retarded about it is that they they say that they say the left will lead to totalitarianism because the believe in the socialist ideas that Hitler used to bring Germany out of poverty...

...as they celebrate the altruistic and nationalist ideas that Hitler used to create Nazis...

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Learn to political science. Yes there is semi-public ownership of business, but that is motivated by nationalism since all businesses should serve the cause of the state, and not any kind of socialist fuzzy wuzzy ideology about workers' rights or giving them the means of production. Fascism could give a **** about workers' rights cause of its belief in social Darwinism, which the left most certainly does not (but the right does).

It's basically quasi-socialist policy dictated by far right wing ideology. And the generally incestuous history of high level corporate and political leaders in fascist societies is also not particularly left wing.

Yeah, Hitler was decidedly afraid of red.

I remember my History teacher in high school showed us something like this:

edit: though I wish the above had liberal and conservative instead of democrat and republican. As parties are not ideologies, but seek to represent (or at least pretend to represent) the ideologies.

A bastardized form of socialism entirely governed by the pragmatic concerns of a single leader. Hitler didn't even really stick to the fascist economic plan either, since businesses were meant to be overseen by government but still be technically autonomous. It just didn't work out that way.

Once that happened, it wasn't socialism anymore. It was totalitarianism. The point critics often make is that socialism can lead to totalitarianism because it's exploitable.

My issue is with the term "right-wing" being used within the definition, because we both know that fascism shouldn't solely be used specifically for one side or the other.

These are the best definitions I have come across: Fascism | Definition of Fascism by Merriam-Webster and http://www.dictionary.com/browse/fascism

Anything is exploitable. The silly thing is that Democrats, like Obama, bend over backwards for Republicans so they can properly represent all of America while Republicans don't give a **** and do what they want. Which is totalitarian in my opinion.

I agree. And Merriam-Webster is much more reliable and trustworthy than google.

But it doesn't negate my point that American Republicans are pretty fascist.
