Not at all. The Gospels are eyewitness accounts, so it's the same events told from different points of view. Furthermore, there are many things that are not written in the Bible that Jesus did, but "these things are written that you may believe". It's not a history book recording every little thing. It is a guidebook of faith.

Even if that stuff happens (and it didn't even when I did the whole Christian thing) how will I know that I'm not wrong? People from every religion claim these things, why should I be so sure of my faith?
Well, for me, it's the aformentioned. Once you realize their are only PERCIEVED contradictions, no real ones, that will be something to hold onto. If you find a contradiction, pray and ask for the ability to find out how it's not one. The usual reason has to do with translation errors. There are other reasons. That's another religuous connection you can pick up on. It's like a school subject. The more you study, the more you understand.

So, then, you can just hand-wave all of these consistence aside: Bible Inconsistencies - Bible Contradictions

I've had a good look. A lot of them are pretty serious. Also, a lot of them happen in the same book, invalidating your point about different perspectives.

But even if the bible were internally consistent, there isn't any real evidence for any of it, and thus my incredulity remains.

I'm not a Biblical scholar, of course, but I'll just point out that the contradictions listed on that page are not necessarily contradictions. Let's look at the first one:

Quote:
GE 1:3-5 On the first day, God created light, then separated light and darkness.
GE 1:14-19 The sun (which separates night and day) wasn't created until the fourth day.
Answer: our sun isn't the only source of light in the universe. Our sun is young, an infant, really, by cosmic standards. Light existed in the cosmos before our sun ever came into being.

Well, except, God doesn't create the stars until genesis 1:16, yo.

But again, like, even if the bible is consistent it's still unsubstantiated.

Did you hear that in the time of the King James translators, "create" meant to remake?

"Let there be light" is probably the singularity of the Big Bang. The Big Bang created light without there being any individual stars at the beginning. The whole cosmos was superheated and expanding rapidly. Stars came later.

The Gospel message basically boils down to God is a God of Love and Mercy and "Love your neighbor as yourself." Never thought that kind of suff would be so controversial, so detestable where those who subscribe to such a philosophy would be hated. History is repleted with a cruel kind of censorship which amounts to being feed to lions, burned at the steak, cruficied, beheaded with scimitars, guillotined, shot, hanged, imprisoned, and starved, etc etc. I guess love thy neighbor is rebuffed with a directly proportional amount of vehement hatred.

"Love your neighbor as yourself" is the most revolutionary idea ever, and the world, violent, dark, and proud, hates it.

Except that, God creates the heaven and the earth before he says "let there be light". Pretty sure the big bang was a while before the earth happened.

But again, there isn't evidence for any of this anyway, so I don't care whether or not the bible is accurate.
