I don't know why you think anyone finds purpose in middle-class office jobs. Have you worked one? What was your experience?

I'll look for the article (I hope it's a thinkpiece so Frown will read it) but there was a post-AI job-type argument that said there are 5 or 6 C's that will constitute work that robots won't be used for. that's what I'm imagining people being slotted into. And that's generally where the fulfilment comes in. In helping other people.
i heard that too when i was working at the animal shelter... Sounded right till i left and realized that making money > having a nice job

Capitalism is killing the planet – it’s time to stop buying into our own destruction

We are rightly horrified by the image of a seahorse with its tail wrapped around a cotton bud, but apparently unconcerned about the elimination of entire marine ecosystems by the fishing industry. We tut and shake our heads, and keep eating our way through the life of the sea.
You know what's funny about this? Not only to US Citizens eat only 7-10 types of seafood, thereby over-fishing the **** out of those animals, but you should see the weight the fishing industry carries with Ocean Management departments.

I work for a trade group getting clean energy up and running. In the US, one of the laggard industries is Offshore Wind, and the fisherman's union bitches up a god damn storm. Meanwhile, we saw what 5 months off of capitalism did for the skies in LA and New Delhi, and wildlife all over the globe.

We should deunionize to sufficiently undermine capitalism.
