Start a Facebook campaign for 2018 Election, spend money on promoting it through Facebook's boost system, use appropriate keywords and demographic targeting. Find charismatic candidates.

Roosevelt won international respect in his own right, Trump will be seen on the world stage as a toxic bully. The German press have already labelled him "The Horror Clown" and in France a leading politician said, "He makes me want to retch."

I wonder why 46.9% of voters were so indifferent ? Now the once-proud nation of Roosevelt will be represented by a figure who is an object of contempt, loathing or ridicule across the globe.

Well, look what happened in the 2010 midterms after Obama's first 2 years in office.

I'm sure most people that didn't vote didn't do so because they knew both candidates sucked majorly so evil was going to triumph anyways.

But if everybody who actually wanted to vote 3rd party actually did... then the story might be different.

Nobody would ever shop up to vote!

If I were a senator, I'd actually have power to do something meaningful (and even that would still be a huge struggle, but it's about 1 million times more effective than my vote). Congress collectively has more power than the president (but it's distributed among many people compared to presidential authority).

For sure, but there are always still local elections and issues to consider - I've always been of the opinion that if you can't be bothered to care/vote your complaints afterward are invalid and I have no patience for it.

I voted third party, not because I support either of the third party candidates necessarily, but because I was hoping we would reach the magical 5% that would potentially lead to a tangible shake up in the two party system, and being from California there wasn't really a question that we'd go blue, so the whole "wasted vote" thing didn't really apply. Alas, nothing came of it, but all the props and measures I supported passed and our new city council is top notch thanks to the under 35 vote.
