My tree has arrived in the mail. Only takes about five mins to set up. Should be done shortly then I'll post a pic.

Edit: to join in on the conversation.

Two things that bug the hell out of me: people saying "Happy Holidays". WTF? It's Christmas dude! Nobody says "Happy Holidays" about Thanksgiving or Easter, do they? Why can't people just say "Happy/Merry Christmas"???

Also, "this holiday season"...? **** right off pal!
I lead with Happy Holidays all the time. It's just easier that way. I rather not say Merry Christmas to someone that doesn't celebrate it. Happy Holidays just lumps everything all in one and is still a nice gesture. I end up catching myself lately when I say Happy Holidays then the person says Merry Christmas back with a heavy tone. I'm like whatever Merry Christmas too. Christians and your kind get a stupid attitude over it.

No but it should be this way: if you're a muslim you celebrate the Haj or Ramadan or whatever, if you're not you don't. If Christians or others suddenly decided to celebrate it do you think they'd change the name of the festival? So I'm not saying only Christians can celebrate Christmas, but if non-Christians like me do, then they should accept that it is a Christian festival and does not need to be blurred into "happy ****ing holidays". After all, if you're uncomfortable with Christmas, Xmas does just as well. I just don't see why of all the religious celebrations it's the only one that has to be tippy-toed about in this annoyingly PC-let's-not-offend-anyone way. It's annoying. If you don't want to celebrate Christmas, don't. If you do, call it what it ****ing is!
Rant over.
For now.
Are you going to stop and ask every single person that you want to wish a Merry Christmas to what their religious preference is so that you can say the right corresponding holiday? If you aren't then just say Happy Holidays like the rest of us!

That's what my pre-lit fake one is supposed to be, but it's more of a glitter bomb than a tree. I call it a Mike Douglas-Comes-Home-From-The-Strip-Club Fir.

Louis CK, Bill Burr, George Carlin, and Doug Stanhope are all from the US, so one of the reasons is because we're genuinely funny.

Over here the default is Happy Christmas, so no. "The rest of you" only applies if you're American. I'm not.

Merry Christmas here. Never met a single person here who says Happy Holidays.
