I don't see that as a negative thing like you do. Checks and Balances to keep drastic changes from happening too quickly.

I guess you would prefer how quickly things get done in a dictatorship.

The system was also designed so that the working class would not have enough democracy to challenge the class system

They'd probably read Aristotle who concluded any real Democracy naturally could not have inequality as the workers would vote to abolish it

What do you mean by "enough democracy"?

Can you source Aristotle on this subject?

Are you sure it's even established that people actually vote in their own best interest?
