Me too, although I'm always concerned about Newton's 3rd as well as the relativity factor when it comes to traveling to other pieces of things floating in space. I'm sure they've figured all that into the equations, but sometimes the human element is to force it just for the sake of progress with no regard for long term effect. 100's of years from now will the moon be farther from the earth because we pushed it with a rocket booster while landing? Maybe we could learn from the old cat adage. Just something that keeps me up at night.

The moon would be farther from Earth a hundreds of years from now with or without the help of rocket boosters.

For billions of years the moon has been moving away from Earth. The present rate of ~ 1.6"/4cm per year. (I'm not sure if it's the same rate throughout its history.)
