Lots of fun here as the Beast From the East (sharp, cold weather front coming from Siberia) hits Storm Emma and both arrive over Ireland. Temperatures in the minus Celcius figures (we have -7 to -9 in parts of the country), heavy snowfall, high winds and expecting serious blizzard conditions. The govt have advised everyone who does not have an emergency need to be on the roads to be indoors by 4pm (about now) and not to come back out until 3pm tomorrow. Airports are closed, no public transport, shops all shut, schools all closed.

Not quite that bad here, but we can easily match the temperatures. The last few days, I've had to realize my wardrobe just isn't cut out for -10 degrees and wind. I've been freezing my fingers off.
