They sound like the ur-example of indie bands for and by the most boring, milquetoast white suburban teenagers who have nothing to express beyond their annoying ennui.

The Shins (and Broken Bells)have recorded some great stuff, notably Chutes Too Narrow. They also have recorded what Batlord refers to as boring and milquetoast- Like that song about Rutherford B. Hayes
