No we don't. We're a temperate climate and the worst we get is the occasional snowstorm, high winds you'd laugh at, and a whole lot of rain.
Concern is fine.

And you're right, I'd laugh at your "high winds", being that I'm from Kansas. Dorothy lived in Kansas before a tornado blew her damn house away you know.

We're very lucky where we live. Even when England gets hit hard we normally avoid the worst. We're the kind of people who scatter and stay home from work when there's like a few inches of snow on the ground. High winds for us probably Force 9 max. Laugh away. I still bet we get more rain that you (usually) do.

We get quite a lot but most of them are not that bad.

The United States averaged 1,274 tornadoes per year in the last decade while Canada reports nearly 100 annually (largely in the southern regions). However, the UK has most tornadoes per area per year, 0.14 per 1000 km², although these tornadoes are generally weak, and many other European countries have a similar number of tornadoes per area.
I wasn't in the UK at the time so I missed this one:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birmin...ornado_of_2005

There are some decent videos on YouTube of guys in England who recorded tornadoes from their bedrooms.

Sometimes floods happen but it is true we don't get any extreme weather. That tornado and two small earthquakes are the worst we've had here.

Im so confused right now Tampa and Sarasota bays are both missing...but my job is opening tomrrow at 8 am...where do they think that the bays are GOING? Back where they came from.

Im 15 hours away and now some ppl evacuated to where shes going. Some of my friends are in shelters and they cant get out some in direct hit zones because they evacuated too soon. I am really stressed out. Im actually now having a full blown panic attack.
