Nah. I don't agree with that at all. That's a very skewed way to look at your self worth. I'm not gonna get paid the same as someone that does a worse job than I do.

Also, people are generally not fit to make value assessments about their own work compared to others. It's pretty well established psychology that we are way overconfident.

What's hilarious about this entire conversation is that Elph thinks by leveling the wages that wealth just goes away. People will always barter for services rather its with money, favors, commodities, or material possessions. It is inevitable that some people will make good trades and end up with more resources aka "buying power" than others, regardless of the system. *snowball starts rolling*. Conversely, others will make terrible trades and end up losing buying power. This isn't some utopian future where everyone can materialize whatever the hell they need for themselves.

I think it's fair to have a certain expectation of what your time is worth.

Rather than this boring discussion, let's talk about things that would actually change the game. UBI is one aspect of what lies ahead, but this other stuff will eventually eliminate scarcity in regards to a lot of what we eat, which will in turn have a fairly large impact on society.

Oh it's all good. I know virtually nothing about this stuff. I just think it's good practice to at least know what your time is worth. I get that the work place isn't fair but that's not every work place.
