As a Mod make a rule:

1. Don't post anything personal.

2. Post personal stuff and expect members (like you), to go ugly.

3. Post personal stuff among MB friends just to share and get some MB friend support.

In the past year my daughter had a miscarriage, my newphew blew his brains out, my father almost died, I was on the verge of death and had a total nervous breakdown, and my wife's mom suddenly died. I posted about all of these things.

You didn't offer a single response of personal support or condolence during all of that time. Lots of other members did. Thank you to all who did.

Where are your morals and decency?

Maybe turn down the ****ing pomp every once in a while.

This.

You could ruin Chula's life with the amount of stuff he's posted on here for the world to see.

Pretty sad. I actually consider some off you friends.

I guess the place is all poop jokes.
Yes but some people discuss that stuff away from the forum not publicly.

It's not that I'm afraid anyone would use it against me, but I never really talk about my family and friends in any specific capacity. Not my health or my mental state either. I guess I just don't feel like it's relevant in most cases and I still really feel like a newbie in here.
Sharing music I care about feels like opening up in a way, since I have very few people in my life who really care about music to any meaningful extent.
There's also no one in my life whose musical recommendations I give the kind of attention that I give for people on MB. This shows that I care. But it's of course not the same kind of relationship that I have with real life friends.

^ I'm sorry to hear that your year has been this bad, Chula. Any one of those events is deeply upsetting. Congratulations on pulling through and posting all the same. I think you have plenty of friends here who appreciate your contributions.

I can see that Frownland enjoys going into verbal battle with you, but if you consider him your enemy, at least he is an enemy you can see; he comes out and fights publicly post for post. Unfortunately, we don't know where info shared on MB goes; there are some flat-out weird people out there who can go lurking through our threads any time they want, which is why I agree with MLM and MicShazam about posting personal identifiers, and especially family pics, on MB.

Don't go there.

As a Mod you should understand that it's not cool. I've posted about how I have been to China. Linda was never part of those discussions. You inserting her just to hit me low is pathetic.

You are once again validating your status as a total ****ing MB dick.

YAC, JANZ, PLANK, EXO, etc., ????????

Clearly nothing was meant her way and you bring her up all the time.
Much as I don't like Frown, I have to agree with him here Chula. It's not like he called Linda a bad name, or intimated anything about her. All he did was mention her name. And you bring her in here all the time, so it's natural you would be lumped together as a pair. If he had said "Once Chula went to Jerusalem" you'd probably infer he was implying you had an affair over there with some Israeli chick. At least he confirmed Linda was there to keep an eye on you. Seriously though; you can't have it both ways. I talk about Karen (which in reality I maybe shouldn't, but it gets tough sometimes and you guys have helped) but within that I accept that people like Batty will make crude joke about her. I also accept there is no malice in such remarks.

That is one of my cats. That's Eddie, with his favourite turtle.

Sigh. Do you see what you're doing here, Chula, how hypocritical it is?

I'll attempt to be fair to you but (1) you need to expect for people to reference things that you constantly talk with them about and (2) you treat me and anyone else who disagrees with you like ****, so I really have no reason to respect your feelings if you're unwilling to play by the same rules when you're mad at someone for daring to challenge your opinion.
This is all pretty fair comment really.

Damn, did I miss JWB again? Maybe we should block polls for noobs for the first 24 hours.

It exists, I'm just not offering it in the form of a "that sucks, sorry" because I don't feel like that has value. If you really feel entitled to my support in these events I can post that line whenever you're down.

Here's the thing I don't understand. Every picture I've ever posted here is readily available on my or other people's Facebook accounts. There's about 2 billion people using Facebook and most post personal stuff and family pictures.

If I'm willing to post something on Facebook, why should I feel afraid to post it on a small forum that has maybe two dozen seriously active members?

Are ya'll paranoid about Facebook too?

Good point, basically identical scenarios. Do whatever the **** you want.

I don't post anything on FB at all. I only go on to give a friend silly pictures.
