So you've seen someone who did not look male or female and it had nothing to do with their fashion sense whatsoever. I find that impossible to believe, but it is a weak argument on my part.

If you were there you'd know it was bath salts.

OP is right to point out that because of the people Isborn mentions there's a new semantic confusion.

I imagine that ze/zer is mainly for conversational purposes at the moment. My guess is that in medical documents, etc, people are still writing out he/she when the need arises.

I hate that anyone who is against the they/them pronouns are forced into this cringy skeptic/enlightened centrist position who watches ben shapiro and sarcuck of assad.

You demonstrate a similar lack of understanding and bias dude.

Yes, it's used as a pronoun, not an identity. Here in California medical documents largely include nonbinary as a gender selection, and soon it will be an available option on id's and birth certificates as well.

Ok. So maybe it is more common then I realized. Don't any of you feel that the words lose their meaning when it's means both singular and plural? Wouldn't it make more sense to slap an s on the end of the word to be able to tell the difference?

I've genuinely never heard of people using they or them singularly. I also just had a conversation with some friends who said the same things I've already outlined in previously.

^ Word. Church. I mean I agree. Any time the language changes, there's an uncomfortable period during which your choice of words reveals something about where you stand: are you an open-minded modernist or a die-hard traditionalist?

^ Well that's very inclusive ! Are you saying that ze/zer turns up in their files too?
