I’m not saying your wrong. Especially when I’m only talking about “steps” in the right direction but I’m also thinking writing a book would be extraordinarily hard work and without the aptitude possibly very unrewarding as well. Considering all suggestions though. I need to get out of my rut. Any other idea?

Actually I find writing poems to be very rewarding, and not as binding as the project of a whole book

If you can write one 7,000 - 15,000 word story per week and throw that **** up on the Kindle store, in a year you'll be making a nice chunk of spending money.

My advice is to just give it a shot and see what you can come up with. It doesn't even have to be writing. Just having a creative outlet can help out a lot. Gives you something to focus on.
