The bill was passed under "message of necessity" procedure. Don't you think the "toughest gun control law in the country" should maybe be handled with a bit more care? Cuomo simply has and utilizes too much gubernatorial power.

I live upstate and have heard very little vocal supporters of Cuomo, which makes me think most of his voterbase lies in NYC. Most of New York does not care for Cuomo but the most population dense area does, which makes him win. NY being a blue state doesn't automatically mean blue candidates are accepted.

Trump does not win the presidency without rural areas being given disproportionate power

those are just examples and I know you're talking on a broader scale, but it can be extrapolated out to these bigger things that you think are supposedly "democratic" as well
