I didn't study, daydreamed constantly just cause I was so bored that I couldn't keep my brain from thinking about stupid ****, didn't finish like a fourth to a third of the test because of that, and still got a 1270 which is apparently 210 points above the average.

One thing that always shocks me is the extent to which Chinese students, even those studying abroad, are brainwashed by their own government/media. I've heard classmates deny/defend Tiananmen Square. Hong Kong is a no-go topic with a lot of them.
