I guess I'm gonna have to start wearing a mask when
I'm outside in my own yard because people are often
stopping me while I'm doing something in order to talk.
Today, I'm mowing and a guy passes by and I acknowledge,
wave, and turn my back. Next thing, I can feel him creeping
up on me, so I have to shut the mower off while he yammers on
asking about my mower (it's electric) and really being too close.

There’s a time for manners and a time to say it directly “don’t approach me” that’s not me being crazy either - I’ve had to do it, too

Generally, if I start backing up or just move away to a further location,
sometimes, it'll click in their brain. Outside, it's easier to do that,
but I'm rarely away from home where there's more people nearby
and having to manoeuver to safer positions.
