Not the least bit surprised tbh. Iced Earth could only be a nerdy MAGA chud's band. They have a concept album about Gettysburg. Their lead singer took time away from the band to do a tour in Iraq. And they have not one but two concept albums about a secret race of non-humans plotting against the human race for thousands of years in order to summon their demon god to wipe us out.

The only way this could get better is if it turned out Varg was the Q Shaman.
