How in the name of blue fuckery can you be an honorary black belt? I mean, you can be an honorary doctor or professor without studying a damn subject, but martial arts requires you know how to use it. What in fuck's name use is an "honorary black belt"? Stand back! I know tay kwan - take one - tayka - karate! Well, the president of South Korea gave me this, well, honorary thingy and he says I'm a black belt, even though I hate the word black and the only belt I know is the one that holds in my fat gut, but still, watch out!

They lie and then they lie some more and then they keep lying! It's a sad, sad state of affairs and our great nation deserves much better! Oh, look in the back, do you see that? That's CNN! Their red light just went off, they stopped the broadcast, would you believe it? They stopped the broadcast....I thought they were a news organization, but I guess not...I guess not, folks. Very sad! Hey, why don't you turn the cameras and show how big this crowd is huh? Show how big the crowd is! Go on, turn the cameras! Just turn them, pan around the crowd, show the people how amazing this crowd is!.......they won't do it folks. They're afraid to report the truth, these news companies are without shame, without guilt, I've said it before, they are the enemy of the people! I agree. SGR that was absolutely excellent. Got the spirit of Trump to a, well, T. Wonderful job. And sadly, probably not at all far from what he would say.

What consessions did the US get from bestowing this approval on KJU ? Nothing. All America's nuanced -and persuasive- levels of diplomatic recognition were given away, not to the benefit of the US, but to give Trump a photo op.

I think his policy on NK wasn't any worse than the status quo

The idea it somehow gave Kim any sort of international legitimacy is a mindless hawkish talking point to me. The main grievance is that they aren't any closer to disarming which decades of sanctions have proven isn't going to happen anyway...

Yes, perhaps I was exaggerating, and just going along with the outrage of traditional diplomats without thinking it through.
AFAIK, love letters or sanctions: neither have much altered how things stand with NK. Kim Jung Un hasn't been invited to the G7 summits or any similar international events yet, so despite that little flurry of friendly gestures, it's back to business as usual.
