I'm enjoying these albums recently. Hope it helps.

Melt Yourself Down's s/t. Avant-garde jazz/Afro-electronic.

James Holden "The Inheritors". Experimental electronic.

John Roberts "Fences". Deep house but very exotic sounding.

A way of finding new EDM tracks I used when DJ'ing was to browse 1001tracklistings for the most played newcomer tracks and the from the past 4 weeks. It shows what the big DJ's have been playing in sets recently and usually brings a few future hits.

Yo, James Holden is the man.

Huge tune of his at the end of one of Paul van Dyk's "The Politics of Dancing" releases.

Been listening to Immunity, the latest from Jon Hopkins. The mood & sounds change as the album enters its second half. Much as I love the grittiness of the first half, the album as a whole is an epic of a hypnotic yet soulful soundscape. A definite must-have in a year already filled with great electronic releases!

Default Ambient/Psybient bands like Carbon Based Lifeforms ?

Hey everyone, I've got question, does anyone know ambient/psybient bands kind Carbon based Lifeforms ? I mean rly, quite same like them. Maybe some less known band ?
I know bands like Solarfield, Scann-tec etc - but it's far from CBL perfection - in my opinion.

Are you familiar with Shpongle? If not that's a great place to start off.

Misteur Valaire

I'd love to link to a few songs but unfortunately I cannot at this moment. I shall revisit this thread.

Jon Hopkins might be one of my favorite musicians of all time. He can perform in so many styles and has such an eye for detail.

Secret Circuit's Tactile Galactics is a fine mix of house & psychedelic, often with an outer-space like vibe. The track below is my favorite from the album.
