Hmm, I only really thought it was good with the Video, his moves are quality, as is the other ahem, talent, he has on offer, but the song itself?...

You guys realize the song is a satire, right? Look it up. Gangnam is a rich district in South Korea where a lot of people wish they could live and "Gangnam Style" basically means "Korean Swag," so PSY shot a video with as much anti-swagger as possible, with scenery that doesn't look like Gangnam, to a song about people who are completely normal during the day but act cool at night.

Song isn't a masterpiece, but it's still pretty danceable the video is funny. I respect it for what it is, and PSY is clearly talented as a performer.

Ran into this on youtube. Apparently, he was skinny a decade ago and, more importantly, made better music. Still havn't found a translation for this, but I was pleasantly surprised by the flow here.

No, not because it has touching lyrics. No, not because it has melodic musicianship.
IT FLIPPING SUCKS. Why can't people at least have a listen to some good music? The Strokes? Dashboard Confessional? Elvis Costello?
Post a video of you dancing to Dashboard Confessional.

Lets get one thing straight, this song is not electronica? How can you even compare that song to mainstream electronica?

I don't get why people get bothered by pop music on Top 40 radio. What do you think they're gonna play on there? It's just the way the world works that record companies have got our number and know how to manipulate the majority of music listeners. It's just reality, and getting upset about it is just goofy. If you don't like ****ty pop music, then don't listen to the radio or watch Entertainment Tonight. It's what the internet is for.

If I ever hear this in a club I don't think ecstasy will even cut it.

It'll be gone soon anyway.
The only way I can see this bothering people is if they're insecure about their own tastes.

Someone showed it to me once, my reaction was 'Well that was pretty funny' and I've not seen it since.

I want to know what all these people who feels like they're being bombarded by it are actually doing to hear it so often.

Really? So ecstasy won't make a room full of people doing the goofiest dance since The Macarena the greatest thing ever?
