I was just enjoying the moment to tease Wpnfire.

I'd like as many people as possible to respond.

Hahah tease him all you want!!

Unfortunately it seems like people are too busy for the EDM club at the moment. Just when I found a bit of free time, too!

Ahh! No excuses, I'm sorry.

Questions for Zammuto
1. What were your VERY FIRST impressions on listening to the album, say from the first five minutes in (first time)?
The vocals irritate me, the beat is strong, and the chaotic instrumentation is taxing my patience.

2. Did your first impressions change, i.e., did the album get better or worse as you listened to it (first time)?
The second track was much, much better than the first, and the third track was even better, so my view of the album improved steadily.

3. Which was stronger in your opinion, the opening tracks (first 2-3 songs), or the ending tracks (last 2-3 songs)?
Far and away the last 3. "Harlequin," and "Full Fading" are my favorite tracks from this album.

4. On repeated listens (if you did so), did you find you liked the album more, or less? Feel free to be very detailed if you like.
I liked certain songs more, but nothing that changed my rating of any of them.

5. What is your favorite track from the album, if you have one?
Probably "Harlequin."

6. What is your least favorite track from the album, if you have one?
"Crabbing."

7. Did you change your favorite or least favorite track as you listened to the album?
No, my least favorite was always "Crabbing," and "Harlequin" was my favorite as soon as I heard it.

8. How would you describe the variety of tracks available on this album? Feel free to be very detailed if you like.
The variety is possibly the highlight of this album for me. There's a good variety of instruments used on the songs, ranging from some killer electric bass and synth, string arrangements, what sounds like an organ, powerful acoustic guitar, and thumping drum work. There are some slight tempo changes as well, but none of the songs broke out of the downtempo theme. Differentiating all the songs from each other is kind of difficult, and the only song that is strikingly different from the others would be the first track. The artist sticks to a theme and rarely deviates from it.

9. What is the overall mood on this album?
I've been staring at this question for a while, and have not come up with anything. It certainly didn't get me excited for anything, so I guess mellow exploration would be my answer.

10. Is this an album you would listen to again all the way through (for personal, recreational use, outside of listening to it for this club), or are there just a few songs that you would listen to?
Just a few songs.

11. How well do you already know the band/artist?
N/A.

12. If you are familiar with this band/artist, how would you compare this album to any of their earlier/later material?
N/A.

13. Do you see any way the album could have been improved?
No, it just wasn't really for me though.

14. Would you recommend this album to others?
No.

15. Are you interested in listening to more albums by this band?
Not particularly.

16. What sub-genre, if any, would you assign this music to?
Experimental, indie house would be how I describe it.

17. (NOTE: Ignore this question if the album does not have lyrics.) Did you like the vocalist? Hate him/her? Any impressions?
He was fine, but I disliked the staccato distortion of his voice, especially on the first track. The vocals bring my rating of this album down a lot. When he sung normally, it was fine, but I just didn't really like how her voice was distorted on certain tracks.

18. Your overall album rating on a scale of 1-10 (whole numbers please. Also, please BOLD or otherwise make this rating easy to see. Use this color pattern for ratings:)?

I thought the vocalist was Nick Zammuto himself, no?

Ha, that's funny. I tried to look up who the singer was, and I couldn't find it. I should have noticed the sentence that said it was made solely by him lol. I assumed that it wasn't listed.

Let's try this ambient album I found on bandcamp.

For this time only, I changed the survey questions to better reflect an ambient album, and make the questions as elementary as possible (to fit with the low-key nature of ambience).
Spoiler for Questionnaire:

Questions

The following is the list of questions that should answered by members while, or after listening to the album selected. The completed questionnaires will be used for discussion purposes.
NOTE: There is no length requirement for any of your answers.
1. What were your VERY FIRST impressions on listening to the album, say from the first five minutes in (first time)?
2. Did your first impressions change, i.e., did the album get better or worse as you listened to it (first time)?
3. On repeated listens (if you did so), did you find you liked the album more, or less? Feel free to be very detailed if you like.
4. What is your favorite track from the album, if you have one?
5. What is your least favorite track from the album, if you have one?
6. Did you change your favorite or least favorite track as you listened to the album?
7. How would you describe the variety of tracks available on this album? Feel free to be very detailed if you like.
8. What is the overall mood on this album?
9. Is this an album you would listen to again all the way through (for personal, recreational use, outside of listening to it for this club), or are there just a few songs that you would listen to?
10. Does this music take you some place? Describe what comes to mind as you listen. Does the song title/album cover/album title relate to what you envisage, if anything?
11. Do you see any way the album could have been improved?
12. Would you recommend this album to others?
13. Are you interested in listening to more albums by this band?
14. Your overall album rating on a scale of 1-10 (whole numbers please. Also, please BOLD or otherwise make this rating easy to see. Use this color pattern for ratings:

)?

ENTIRELY OPTIONAL QUESTIONS
15. What do you think of the production?
16. Any other thoughts you had about this album you would like to share?
