Going to see a Dio tribute show this Saturday at Detroit Pub... and I'm pretty sure it's the exact same bands from a Dio tribute last year at a different bar I'm fine with it though, they were all pretty ****in awesome. Rainbow Rising has this chick singer who's sort of a local celebrity because she's hot, popular, and does metal, and it is by far the best female representation of Dio I have ever heard in my life.

After catching Riverside and Clutch in the same month I have these pencilled in so far this year:

Anathema (acoustic)
ALT - FEST (The Damned and Dead Kennedys just added to the bill)
Fat Freddy's Drop
Kreator
Damnation Festival

Probably a few more to be popped in along the way.

This looks too good to miss. 40 bucks is a good deal, considering Morrisey wants 75 bucks to see his bloated ass.

That Dio tribute looks promising Carpe. I wouldn't mind catching that at all.

A friend of mine lives 3 blocks from where this will be in August (same place I saw Clutch last year):

THE SUMMER SLAUGHTER TOUR 2014

Gonna make a drunken day of it, and crash at his place. If I'll be able to walk 3 blocks that is.

Extremely jealous that I'm not in California anymore, that looks like it should be awesome.

I wish I could afford to go to Maryland Deathfest

Once we're set in our careers, you can bet your asses that's one of the first big out of state festivals I'll be hitting up.

Tonight! And I only have one final tomorrow.

I'll also be going to see swans on September 11, seems appropriate
