Did you see the Gavin Bryant's performance of the Sinking of the Titanic/Jesus Blood Never Failed Me Yet?

"Bryars"

Just two of a whole slew of concerts and talks we went to - absolutely exhausting number of things to do and see.
"Jesus' Blood..." was Sunday afternoon and "...Titanic" was later that night (right after Henry Threadgill's Zooid).

Also, at the launch party on Thursday, Bryars said that his ensemble has never played in North America (!)
I was shocked by this (even tho, I think he has some kind of professorship in Canada these days).

It's pretty incredible each year.

I'm so busy with my own projects that I really see very little in this city.
Most of what I experience is usually out of the country (Denmark this summer/fall).
I'm tempted to go see The Damned 40th Anniversary tour coming up in mid-May
at House of Blues, but other than that I can't really say. Also, I used to be a regular
member of the two local Indian music organizations that have their occasional great
concerts here, but I just haven't had the time lately.

I'm going to see The Damned in the beginning of May. Saw them a couple of years ago and they still sounded as good as ever.
