I was bored and went through the show calendar back home to see what was listed. Lots of good shows in NYC this summer and fall. I'll bold the ones I'll certainly be at. The others are ones I'll try to make happen...

Too bad. I saw Deerhunter a few weeks ago (life-changing), and Interpol (performing Bright Lights) and Battles I'm 99% positive that's a better investment than X. Sorry, pal.

Well, I'm not a HUGE fan of Deerhunter. I really only like two albums. Every single video of Interpol playing live has been disappointing. I saw Battles. They were cool.

X 40th anniversary tour with all original members is kinda special. But to each is own.

I'm not sure if this is you resisting hipster stereotypes by ignoring an indie twat show, or reinforcing them by going to see an "old school" band that will give you underground cred.
