Half Japanese - Sing No Evil

Sign No Evil is a brilliant mix of free-form jazz, punk rhythm, and Jad Fair's distinct yelp-singing which all melds together to create a jarring and distinct indie rock record. This record feels like it shouldn't work, but it does - Jad Fair's snotty screaming is in stark contrast to the complex horn rhythms, and all the disjointed noise somehow comes together to create catchy hooks and melodies.

It's brilliant.

Hasn't exactly been a week but oh well.

Vendetta Red "Sisters Of The Red Death" - Its one of the best pop-punk albums i've ever heard. The lyrics are kind of morbid and put with their upbeat style its kind of an awkard combination, but they pull it off. I'm liking the album quite a bit.
