The Mermen - Do You Hear What I Hear - A Very Mermen Christmas (2012

Bought this album last week. Instrumental covers of various Christmas songs performed by psychedelic instrumental surf-rock trio "The Mermen."
So far, I think this qualifies as my favorite album of Christmas tunes ever. I'm really digging their dreamy, psychedelic twist on these classics.

The Mermen - The Coventry Carol

Sammus - Pieces in Space

I remember her from a few years back because she played a lot around where I went to school. Very smart rapper. Should be a good album.

Noname - Telefone

Every time I've heard her on a feature I've been impressed, so I have high hopes for this mixtape.

Tyler Daniel Bean - On Days Soon To Pass

I haven't listened to this yet, but everything he does is very personal and heartfelt. This should be no different.

Listened to these fully today while driving around.

Bon Iver | Self-titled

Radiohead | In Rainbows

Wu-Tang Clan | The W

And attempted to give this one a listen as well:

The two disk version. First disk is the main album and the second disk is all remixes in typical aggrotech fashion.

Second disk is much better than the first. The 'My Blasphemy Absolute Body Control Remix' is really awesome.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Art Is Dead. Buy My ****.

$5 1965 pressing that's clearly been loved but doesn't have any scratches? It's nowhere near my favourite Beatles album but that's a no brainer. Unfortunately, I saw Magical Mystery Tour and Sgt. Peppers get bought right before I even found the records (it was at an antique store).
