Nice. Oracle's easily my favorite, and one of my favorite metal albums from the 2000's. I've always loved how deceiving their name is, it sounds like some pop group, but then you turn it on and get this hardass metal.

Like this Soilent Green album that I found in the pop/rock section of a used record shop. But I did catch on to some funny business being up due to the album name. Turns out it's some wild hard core/metal core/sludge metal with the most impossibly incoherent song structures ever.

And of course there's that Throbbing Gristle album, which has got to be the most deliberately misleading album cover ever:

^Great album as always, though it didn't quite blow me away like Psychic Warfare did. "How to Shake Hands", "In Walks Barbarella", and "Hot Bottom Feeder" are joining the ranks as some of my favorites though.

TFW you find out that Throbbing Gristle's best performance was prefaced by a performance of one of their best studio tracks.

Yes, but I can't actually really remember much about it. Maybe it's about time for a second pass.

Jasmine Guffond - Degradation Loops

Yeah, she probably shouldn't have piggybacked on the name of Bill B.'s piece,
but it really is much more interesting than his work (sorry, man).
Originally, it was a 16-day-long piece for an installation set-up,
but it's been reduced to a half-hour version here.

Those are stand-outs for sure. I'm still trying to listen undistracted, but things keep getting in the way. I did shave right before my first listen though, so the new beard should come in a lot thicker and faster.
