Not for me. Then again I don't love Queen. (Clearly)

Harmony is a great idea in theory, but as far as I can tell it's just a pipe dream, because everyone has an opinion, and you can't control what people are allowed to think.

Anyways, to stay on topic (kind of), that's a good list you've got there, not a one of those artists I wouldn't have loved to have seen, some of them obviously I won't be able to. Never heard of Chilli Willi and the Red Hot Peppers. To be honest, I thought that was an old-timey way of saying Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
Thank you Forward to Death for your response.Harmony maybe not. Opinions can be civil and well thought out. Oh believe me I have heard how every body is a TUFF guy or gal sitting alone behind this anonymous screen. I have also seen what this technology has garnered. If you need to be so hateful, how about a street address and real name attached and then we can see if you really have any........!!!" Old-Timey "good stuff. As for the topic,I have no use for people my age that think that there has not been any good music since 1967 or 1973 or 1979,ect. I heard a band called Future Islands last night and now I can not wait to get one of their records and see how a whole album stands up.

Unpopular opinion? The doors were ****, and Jim Morrison was completely up his own backside, out the other side and back round for another go at licking his own taint.

Unrelatedly - Not since Yngwie Malmsteen managed to inspire a legion of metronome precise bach robots despite being a massive hendrix head, has any musician managed to inspire more poor imitators than Johnny Marr.

Now don't get me wrong, Johnny Marr is a fine musician who knows what he's capable of and doesn't try to be anything he isn't, but he is, at the end of the day, a good songwriter with average/slightly above average guitar ability.

His fans, and the legions of musicians who imitate his every stylistic trait, are so, so, so very missing the ****ing point, and they somehow reduce a relatively humble and certainly very talented man...into a pop culture caricature.

Well as for grammar, spelling and punctuation I really am trying to improve. I got kicked out of High School and was never a good student. I Love to learn and am just learning to type and it is a challenge. My school was leaving this country for long periods and soaking up other cultures. No 12 countries in 15 days, more like 3 blocks per month. I do not know what a troll is? I see you are advising to just disregard, hard for me I am a fighter and hate bullies. I have done some hard time and even in that enviorment you did not speak like such #%&*@ unless you where plain stupid or new and thought you where the baddest cat and then you quickly learn ain't no such animal...As for the topic, This or that genre stinks is plain lazy, I can always find atleast something to like...

If I don't like a particular band or artist, I usually don't visit the thread, let alone make a negative comment. Of course, unless it's Bruce Springsteen.

I personally don't take anything all that serious concerning the internet and music forms, or what have you. It doesnt affect my mood either way. The internet is definitely something I won't lose any sleep over.

Unless I'm up all night surfing the web.

I liked your reply in the Beatles vs The Beach Boys thread. I get the impression you know what you're talking about when it comes to the music you like to listen to. I hope you enjoy your stay here at MB, welcome to the forums.

Haha, why not? Mercury's vocals are excellent, and their music is pretty diverse. I'm sure they have SOMETHING for you.

I begged the waiter who was working Dee's party to let me bring a piece of cake to him and thankfully, he let me. I went down to the private room where his party was being held, walked up to him with piece of chocolate cake in hand and basically told him that when I was 13, the day after I bought Stay Hungry (on cassette), I got grounded from my boombox for 2 weeks for bringing home a bad report card, and that that event was largely the reason why I was the messed up individual that I am. I then handed him the cake as a token gesture of gratitude and walked away. As I was walking away he stood up, pointed at me and shouted, "that's ****ing COOL, man!" It was definitely an awesome moment.

I can't stand music fans that focus solely on the past and act as if that's the era when all the good music was produced.

Basically, they all sound a little like this: "The Beatles/Zeppelin/Queen/Stones, etc are the best bands in the world and how dare you like anything anything I don't like, which is anything modern?"
