This one is bound to piss some people off.

I think Oasis are underrated and underappreciated here at MB. Look back objectively, and they wrote some of the greatest pop songs of all time. Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova, Don't Look Back In Anger, Live Forever, Supersonic, Cast No Shadow, All Around The World, Don't Go Away, Stand By Me, I Hope I Think I Know, Go Let It Out, Sunday Morning Call, Gas Panic!, Who Feels Love, Stop Crying Your Heart Out, Hindu Times, I could go on.

Let's compare Oasis and Led Zeppelin for a moment. While I agree, LZ are a much better band overall, I think an important point needs to be made. Oasis were a-holes who at least acknowledged (and were open) that they were thieves. LZ were a-holes who stole music, and tried to pass it off as all their own. (Even though they were abit more lax about it in later interviews) Anyone see what I'm saying here?

Also, am I the only one who thinks people make too big a deal out of "bad" remasters? I think that almost all remasters sound better than the originals even if they are a bit louder and have less "dynamics." I still think most remasters sound clearer and more up front. Anyone agree?

i think they'd be alright if they didn't pretend their 3-chord wonders pass them off as the new Beatles

i do like some of their singles B-sides - "Halfway Around the World" and "Acqueiscence" amd I like "Don't Believe the Truth" a lot

You must mean, "Half The World Away", "Acquiesce". Yeah, those are pretty tight tunes. Dont Believe The Truth is your fav. album by them?

You see what I mean though right? They weren't great musicians or anything, but they could write a damn good pop song in the 90s.

They seem to have "Bono" syndrome. They have done good things and made good music but because they are a bunch of a-holes, they don't get any credit. Back in the day, when rockstars were a-holes, people loved it and expected it, now with our iinternet hipster culture, it's not thought highly of.

These are their best!

Regarding Heathen Chemistry, I wouldn't buy it unless you are buying it to try and complete your oasis discography, because it aint very good. Dig Out Your Soul was garbage too.

Definitely Maybe was one of the best 90s albums bar none.

You don't think Definitely Maybe is on the same level as Modern Life is Rubbish?

Both are bloody awful groups, but Blur are slightly less torture to listen to.
