That alone doesn't make it a terrible song. Isn't the whole over-the-top thing why we love Queen?

What I find is a lot of ugly banter from the folks who do not have any idea what on earth they are talking about. Then there are the people who really have something to share and some nasty retort is thrown at them. Witt is more than verbal vomit and is a heck of a lot harder. Unpopular music opinions sure. Here is one, I can not play a note and my voice stinks so I give at least a little credit to any body that tries. If you stink stop and join the great appreciation crowd. I gave up counting concerts when I hit 2000 and that was years ago. I have over 10,000 titles in my mid size collection and am looking forward to the new St. Vincent record! I have seen every one from AC/DC (B.S edition) to Zappa. Count Basie, Donovan, Pearl Jam, Doc Watson, Elton, Peter Tosh, Rufus, The Grateful Dead, George Jones, Etta James, Black Sabbath, James Brown, Sinatra, Hot Rize, Bowie...................... So lets talk music!!!!! Sarcasm is easy, Thoughtful discourse is the hard one. PS. At The moment I am listening to Chilli Willi and the Red Hot Peppers any of you folks dig them?
You just have to take it all with a grain of salt and not let it bother you. It's the grammar, spelling and punctuation professors that really irritates me, all they know how to do is go around correcting people's spelling and punctuation. Sometimes I feel like I'm back in literature class in college. But 9 out of 10 replies are usually always respectful by most members here. You always have a few trolls here and there, you just have to sometimes be a better troll than they are. Its all just part of the Internet and nothing to give much concern.

Whaa? i can't agree with such thing i honestly like the song i do recognise it's overrated and kind of cheesy but so is this one and i like it as well.

Queen is pretty iconic and so are their songs you could say the same thing about "We are the champions" because it is as overplayed as Bohemian rhapsody but they are still good songs, ya know?

Sir, I agree with you that Queen is a good band even though their songs are overplayed and cheesy. I just don't think they're the greatest darn thing to ever happen to music, either. Go on Memebase.com, scroll down a bit, and chances are you'll find an image in which they praise Bohemian Rhapsody to the max, saying that arriving late for work is totally acceptable if the song is played on radio, because you "can't just walk away from it". In short: yes, it's a good song, but some people love it a bit... too much.

Love it or hate it (or like me, a little of both) I think we can agree that there's nothing in music quite like it.

You mean Queen?

i would agree no ones sounds quite like them but alot bands sound similar to Queen like Scissor Sisters or The Darkness or even Mika and Of montreal

As cheesy as Freddie mercury vocals could be they were also very melodic and influential and Yes Bohemian Rhapsody as played it out as it is plays a big a part of it and it will probably introduce a new generation of listeners to a little band known as Queen.
