Paul Bertolino - Where The Buildings Hit The Sky (2012)

All your possible favorite late 60's pop / 70's soft rock musical DNA combinations packed into a single contemporary artist. One of the best singer/songwriter albums I've ever gotten my paws on, that's for sure.

"Settle" by Disclosure.

Best debut album of 2013, imo

I'm still spinning Jon Hopkins - Immunity.

A flawless release for me, no filler. Just great beats and build ups throughout the track. Another fine release from Hopkins, his albums seems to get better and better and this is no exception. His maturest yet!

Do yourself a favour and check out the track Collider.

Tempel - On the Steps of the Temple

Holy bejeesus this is the kind of metal I freaking love. It's all instrumental, but you won't even notice the lack of a vocalist a minute into the first song. These guys don't shamble along like most instrumental bands, they keep it really tight and heavy paying close attention to dynamics. The longs songs fly by...I found myself playing this 3 times in a row last night. It covers all kinds of metal...stoner, doom, death, black...whatever fits the song they nail it. It's only January and I think I already found a contender for my favorite metal album of the year. It takes a lot for a metal album to hit my ears like this these days.

Pile - Dripping
Their fantastic new single 'Special Snowflakes' has made me go back and revisit their 2012 album. Absolutely top notch Indie Rock with a heavy side and an emotional intensity that gives it something really special.

K-Dot-O-Dot - Trap Jesus Tape 1

This is now officially a 5* album for me. I can't find any faults at all. Every song flows perfectly, the lyrics and production are on point and it's just entertaining as hell.
