The Denver Gentlemen - Introducing...

Been awhile since I've given this album a good listen. Basically the band is made up of various musicians from the late '80's/ early '90's Denver music scene that I have a massive hard on for. David Eugene Edwards, Slim Cessna, Jeffrey-Paul, and Jen-Yves Tola, all talented musicians creating a unique blend of European folk, old time jazz, cabaret, gospel, and country. Sadly this was the only recording the group was ever able to do, and I feel like the members other projects overshadow this.

It's my favourite by default really. Only listened to about five releases. Very good though.

Sun Kil Moon - Benji
Well this is tremendous. Maybe Mark Kozelek's best work since Red House Painters.

most of his sun kil moon albums have only been decent to me. nothing great, but still good enough that i thought they were worth listening to.

this album, however, is on par with Red House Painters. It's really, really awesome.
